SCHOOL VISION: Can student success using Web 2.0 tools in the classroom motivate teachers to integrate more technology in their curriculum?
GOAL: Help teachers create, and present Web 2.0 enriched lesson and compare with traditional teaching methods. I will show that Web 2.0 tools will raise test scores and in turn motivate teachers to integrate more Web 2.0 tools in their lesson plans.

Denise, I will definitely be following your blog and look forward to your action research findings! I'm guessing you share the same issues in your school that I do in mine... there are some teachers who aren't buying in to the benefits of technology quite like the others. It's hard to convince them that it's worth the effort for them to learn something new!
ReplyDeleteI am a huge proponent of technology in the classroom, so much so that I am always pestering our "technology person" about new things to use in the classroom. I look forward to your research project and your findings.
ReplyDeleteI am anxious to hear how your research goes. I am also trying to increase Web 2.0 technology in my school. I am finding that my teacher's are resistant. Even when I help them write it into their plans and model it for them in their classroom, they are choosing not to use the technology. So frustrating! Good luck with your plan. I also created a parent technology survey to see our parents views' on technology in their child's education. It was eye-opening for our teachers to see how disappointed their parents were with the amount of technology being used in their child's classroom.
ReplyDeleteYour idea for a research paln looks very interesting, it looks like it will be very beneficial. I hope you have luck with your teachers utilizing more technology in the classroom.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck
Please post to my blog
I cant wait to see how your action research plan goes. Technology is growing so rapidly, and the implementation of any tech is a good thing. I am at a rural school where tech isn't the most important thing, so any tech ideas are always something I like to look into.
